EMS is the only contract operations firm in the State of Georgia that operates an in-house Certified Laboratory, providing lab services to facilities managed by both EMS and other entities.  Our in-house laboratory is especially valuable to our contract plant operations division since we are assured of rapid data turn-around and superb quality control.    Because we are NELAC certified, this requires our firm to comply with a higher standard than firms that perform on-site testing.

The EMS laboratory also functions differently from other commercial laboratories in that we do not simply generate a laboratory report with results.  Both EMS’ Laboratory Manager and President are certified operators who understand that data without interpretation is of little value.  EMS’ laboratory has a unique relationship with our clients in that we don’t simply provide sample results – we assist each client in understanding the significance of that data and how it can be used to improve each facility’s operations.  Laboratory personnel take the time to become familiar with each client’s permit limits and are proactive in contacting clients when trends or potential permit violations are noted.
